They're remaking the best Pokemon games evar!!!

i'm surprised they didn't save this for e3. coming out fall 2009 in Japan. Hopefully next spring in America.

Somebody once suggested the names Sun Gold and Moon Silver. I ike those better tha Heart Gold and Soul Silver.

What will the inevitable Ruby and Sapphire remakes be called? Magma and Aqua?

first generation was superior imo, but the second generation definitely wasn't bad. I sunk down a lot of time into silver until my fucking save data that I'd been working on for 3 years got erased for no fucking reason one day and made me a sobbing wreck. I'd seen 248 pokeymans and had like 200+!

and Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald were shit and I hope they never get remade so that more people don't have to suffer through it.

My Silver data got erased, my Gold data is intact last I hecked and same goes for Crystal.

They'll never remake Emerald because the never remade Yellow. I thought Sapphire was great. What's wrong with you? After trading with Colosseum and getting some not-in-the-wild Pokemon my Pokedex reverted into the natural "All Pokemon Form" but required FR, LG, Colo, XD and a gameshark to complete (haven't done it, too busy with Plat. now)

And don't bring up that bullshit arguement of "YOu should've been able to trade from GS to RS" because there's differences between the first 6 games and the later 3, mainly natures and shit which couldn't be added retrospectively to traded Pokemon. Also, the GameBoy link cable had a smaller bandwidth size than the GBA link cable and everyone should know you can't jam a 32-bit whateverthefuck through something that was around 16 bits wide.

I've never demanded that they should allow you to trade pokémon from any other generation to the third gen. what I want from a pokémon game is 1. a solid goddamn battle system (still intact, but 2 on 2 battles are incredibly tacked on) 2. no useless additions that no one gives a damn about (pokémon beauty contests... that's almost as bad an addition to a game as tripping in Brawl. and do we really need two bikes? switching bikes to gain access to new areas is tacked on and is a lame way to "extend" exploration parts of the game) and 3. Nintendo not milking the franchise by forcing you to buy other full games just to gain access to features that should've been on the cartridge in the first place (I have to buy a fucking mediocre GC title to gain access to all pokémon?! (mainly from 2nd gen) (Colosseum sucked, GX = Colosseum, Pokémon Channel wasn't even a game, the list goes on.)).

don't get me wrong, I fucking love my Pokémon Red/Yellow/Silver games to this day, but I'm not going to stand up for a franchise being fucking milked to death just because other people can see past that. (see: Guitar Hero and Sonic franchises.) I also don't know anyone who plays Pokémon, so I have no real reason to buy a new one. maybe I'll buy a Silver remake just for the hell of it, but I won't be able to play it on my Game Boy which is a bummer as no pokémon game plays as well when it's not on a brick for nostalgic reasons.

Have you ever played Colosseum or XD? Don't be quick to judge.

Beauty contests are an addition to add more to the games. They're not necessary to play through the game you twit. It's just a side quest.

Have you ever played Emerald or D&P? Both refined the Double Battles and added more to do once done with the main game.

and I like how you've become very aggressive all of a sudden because I called a bad sequel to a good game series bad. (although admittedly I've yet to even touch the 4th gen so I'm not sure if the series is good anymore, but I've heard good things about it.)

Pokemon is my favorite series to date and I'm a die hard fan.

You should check out the 4th gen. You've used the complaint that 3rd gen sucked because you needed 5 other games to complete the Pokedex, but D&P can be almost completed with just the two, of course excluding legendaries and starters.

Gold and Silver were my favorite Pokemon games. I think i have 400 hours on my GBC Cart. I think i stopped playing that game when Ruby/Sapphire came out.

I thought R/S/E were horrible, and my least fav Pokemon games.

I can't get Pokémon off my mind! for the last two days I've been sitting and studying Pokémon teams and have pretty much only been thinking about how much I want Soul Silver RIGHT NOW. finally being able to take my team online? it's like I'm in heaven. when that shit comes out, I will lose contact with the outside world besides when I'm on the internet looking for battles. I. CAN'T. WAIT!

and idofriar: Totodile is cool and all, but Chikorita is better because of Meganium's utility in a team. ;]

and Hitmonchan is the coolest pokémon ever, closely followed by Arcanine. anyone who disagrees is obviously insane.
