So today is the release of The Conduit. I had preordered the game at GameStop in order to get the Limited Edition because I'm a whore like that. Anyway, I go to pick up the game today and the guy there says that the game shipped today, but they won't sell it until tomorrow. WTF GameStop? Are you trying to ruin our perfect relationship? I buy games, you sell them to me, and when you don't have them, you redirect me to the other GameStop down on the other side of the mall (there's abou 4 GameStops in my area total, 1 close to my house, the other 3 at the Monmouth County Mall).

I never had an issue pre-ordering anything at GameStop. This is the same GameStop I pre-ordered Brawl, MadWorld and Pokemon Platinum in. Now all of a sudden GameStop feels it needs to be a dick and fuck with all Wii owners anxious to get The Conduit. Hell, even PHEDIA, who lives like on the other side of the country had the same issue. GameStop: I've got my eye on you.

I don't really have problems with GameStop because 1) I keep all the games I buy and never sell back. 2) They have so really nice, hot chicks working there 3) I've NEVER seen a GameCrazy around here and I only trust specialty stores.

The problem with confusing the ship and release dates is that the consumer becomes confused. There was an interview on G4 about The Conduit's multiplayer and the SEGA guy there said the game ships th 23rd. What he should've said (because it IS a consumer show) was that it will be released the 24th.

Also, on my 18th birthday, the FIRST thing I'm going to do is go down to my local GameStop or the other 3 in my area and request a job application.

I have some gripes with gamestop because I was wii motion plus and the wii zapper both for 25 dollars and I saw them at walmart for 20 dollars and I saw some games at gamestop for like 12-13 dollars and I saw it at gamecrazy for like 7 dollars. But with those small gripes I still like gamestop.

There's a number of things wrong wih that statement.

First off, shouldn't you be applying to college. I know school's a pain in he ass, but if you do extremely well in school the next two years, it'll payoff trmendously. You shouldn't be applying to minumum wage jobs whe you shoud be going to a good school. Get your priorities in order.

Second, Gamestopis a horrible place to work at. Don't want to derail the thread, but trust me. DONT WORK THERE.

What is so bad about selling games to people all day? Sure, there's the occasional idiot but who knows, maybe I'm the gaming messiah who is here to help people make better decisions on games they buy.... or I would just like to get discounts on games, there's that too.

Community Colleges are cheap enough that you can go there easily for 2 years and then transfer those credits to a *real* college/university and it will appear on the degree that you graduated from the higher college and not really mention community college. I guess you could say it's not where you start but where you end up that matters.

Community College + AP. I'm having AP US History next year and after that AP World. Gonna get into AP Bio my last year, and some other AP classes.
